You can achieve a positive self-image by feeling good about yourself, this will raise your self-esteem and improve your self -image: and your self-Esteem and self-image rely on each other to attain a higher level. A low self-image and low opinions about yourself will seriously damage your self-confidence and self-esteem. Should you feel you are experiencing these feelings of self-depreciation, it would wise to seek some professional advice as they could seriously damage your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Your self- image may differ from the image others hold of you. If you feel you are struggling to cope with the day to day travails of life, you may find yourself questioning how other people perceive you and start to believe they have no faith in your capabilities; and holding this self-deprecating view of yourself, will only increase your feeling of low self-worth and low self-confidence and esteem.

It is important that you have a good feeling of self-belief and self-respect in what achieve in your life. Respecting yourself is as important as respecting others. A strong self-belief in the things you do and believe in, will gain you respect from your fellows; and this will add to your self-esteem and self-confidence.

Some times in your life there will people who seem determined to obstruct your endeavours and plans. If you show determination and have a strong self-belief in what you are trying to achieve: be assertive. Make your point in a quiet and respectful manner, but stay firm and refuse to give way. By acting in this quiet respectful way, will attract the respect of your peers, and increase your self-confidence and self-esteem.

There will be occasions in your life when you will encounter failure: it happens to most people. The best way deal with this is to treat it as another challenge, if the situation is irredeemable, move on, we all learn from our mistakes, so take the lessons learned from this set back on to the next project with renewed self-confidence.

Most people will feel fear at some time in their lives, and you will be no exception. Fear is a highly destructive emotion and can engender feelings of low self-esteem. But often this fear is nothing more than fear of fear itself; and is usually just the fear of failure.
